# Xpenstack

> Xpenstack is a line-item expense and budget tracker that runs as a web app at https://app.xpenstack.com. You add what you bought line by line, set monthly budgets, and see what you can still spend today, in any currency. It is invite only for now, run by one person in Poland.

What the app does today:

- Receipts line by line: shop, items, categories, the currency paid and the home-currency amount at that day's National Bank of Poland rate.
- Scan a receipt: a photo or a screenshot of a receipt is read on the phone (English, Polish, Spanish or French) into shop, date and line items, with a check against the receipt's total; nothing is saved until the person taps Save receipt.
- Guessed for you: each line, typed or scanned, gets its category, need or want, and how often guessed from what the person logged before (the same item, a similar name, or what they usually buy at that shop), marked Guessed until they pick; worked out on the phone, nothing sent anywhere.
- Home shows three numbers: You can spend today, Left this month and the month-end estimate, each with how it is worked out.
- Monthly budgets by category, with carry-over for Discretionary.
- Money in, recurring payments (moved off weekends and public holidays), trips with their own time zone, insights by category and month.
- Excel template import and export, CSV export, JSON backup, encrypted backup download.
- Sign in with email and password or Google. Delete my data removes everything, with the account if chosen.

Not available yet: email reports and installing to a phone's home screen. Paid plans (Plus and Premium) are not on sale; their prices are not decided.
